i have a 89 civic si...with the a D16y8 motor in it. The car has a hasport engine harness and a ecu harness from LOCASH. I took the car for tuning and we saw that the car was making no power. We check all the basic things and then we went to the injectors(RC440's). After checking them we came to the conclusion that 2 and 3 arent working, so we swapped 2 3 with 1 4 and still same problem...so then we went to injector wiring. We ran 4 direct wires from the ecu to the injectors and still same problem. Basically the problem is if i pull out inj 1 4 the car almost dies out and bogs but if i pull out 2 3 thier is no change in motor idle. We used my tuners ECU and my ECU and its the same thing. Can someone please tell me why im having this problem

 

Check compression and spark. If the injectors are spraying fuel but it's not being lit or squeezed it does you no good

 

1. Take out the injector clips and check with IG2 that there is power comming in both 3, 4 injector,

2. Compression test, change plugs.

 

ur car has a resistor box[factoy] b/c stock injectors r peak n hold and if ur rcs r saturated then its not going to run correct do u know what u have?

 

the injectors are RC440's...and on the 89 civic si...i dont think thier is a resister box

 

Wow where can I get an 89 civic Si without a resistor box? No seriously, maybe the harness eliminates the resistor box? I'm not familiar with LOCASH....
