d series axles. do they hold up at track with slicks?

Default d series axles. do they hold up at track with slicks?

wondering if anyone is runnin d series axles with drag radials or slicks.. ill prob run about 15 psi next season and wanna see how they hold up..

they hold up fine for me on 10 and 15 psi....

I think slicks are easier on axles than drag radials. They provide some cushion when they wrinkle. We have 130+ passes on our stock D-series axles with 23" and 24.5" slicks pulling 1.64 60 FT. times. It is important to let the clutch out quickly but smoothly on the launch. It also seems that factory original axles hold up better than rebuilt ones.

My car doesnt make alot of power but has been mid 1.7's on 22x8x13 M&H slicks, never had any axle issues. Just my experience...
