i've done a search and haven't come up with anything that really fits my symptoms.

heres the problem. 2000 cr-v with 125k (up to date maintenance except for ATF)

when the car is idle its really quiet, but when you start to accelerate/cruise anything 10mph or higher, there is almost a "loud" whining noise much like a fire truck siren? (that's the only way i can explain it) i dont 'have a chance to record the sound. the sound has been there for awhile (1-2 years) but the past month, its been louder and unbearable. it sounds like its coming from the transmission-- but i'm not too sure. anyone have/had this problem?

and one small problem. the clock in the center console went out! anyone had that problem and know the fix?
