Default window visors?? how effective???

i seen many out there with screws and others with 3M tape. which set would be more effective?? OR will both perform the same results. obviously cost is a big factor also. the window visors with screws are about 150.00 and 3M tape are about 50.00. anyone have any in sights on this subject????

a friend had the ones that attach with 3m tape and 1 flew off on the freeway. Honda access visors will run about $150 new and will stay on, but seem to be a pain to install. Mine have been sitting in my garage for about a year, just havent gotten around to installing them.

Effective... hmm... i think most people get them because they are "JDM". People that have the real one's look down on the fake one's. I crack the window open sometimes on my dc with the JDM one's and they don't make much of a difference than not having any at all.

I'd like to also add that it takes extra time to wash/dry the car with these on.

the few times it has rained here in socal it helped me out. i like to have the windows cracked at all times so my windows would not fog up during the rainy weather.

the visors are also very popular w/ smokers(esp in japan) so they can ash their cigs out without getting them wet.

I had the oem ones on my ek, and I loved them, they're a must if you don't have ac, definitely keeps the fog down when it's rainy.

if they seem to look the same and do the same effect i might just get the 3M tape one and try it out for a while. i smoke all the time and some times i find ashes and cherry burns on the back seat. thanks for the response guys.

I've never had problems with my Auto ventshade visors coming off, they've been making them for trucks, etc.. for years.

It's all in how you prep the surface, I took mine off once, and nearly ripped off all the weatherstripping off my door because the tape was so strong.

oh and they were $41 with tax

a couple different people i know have had the ventvisors and weathertechs fly off on the highway, i have the jdm honda visors and they're great, you can have the window cracked in the rain no problems, plus they aren't $150 if you know where to buy, i got mine for $47 used with all clips intact, and I just helped a friend get EK jdm visors for $10, and you can't beat the fitment of OEM
