new clutch
i will be putting a new clutch into my car but i dont know if i should get the normal one or stage 1 what is the diffrence will i feel a diffrence and where can i find low prices on clutches
if its the stock engine, the oem one is fine.. you can also use the stock throwout bearing and use a 2000 civic clutch and pressure plate.. its what i got on my stock 90 dx cause the clutch place did not have a clutch in stock for it.. they had to piece it together.. its a lil bigger so more holding power.. but you need the throwout bearing for your year car.
It really deppend on your set up and if its a daily driven.
i got an exedy stage 1 and i thought it would be stiff on my cable tranny but
but i was slightly stiffer on the pedal. ive taken this clutch to the track 4 times and on 555r and still holds great.

check ebay for low prices. you can get the gripforce stage1 pretty cheap and the pedal pressure is just like stock but you'll notice the grab more..if you're all stock you'll be fine with oem cause 90whp isnt really much
well my engine aint really stock i have a cai/h/e nology wires or is that still stock
and what about the f1 or something like that a clutch on ebay is that one good

The exedy you posted is an oem replacement and the F1 you posted is a stage1,,so the f1 is better in performance..but really you cant loose both f1/gripforce and exedy make good clutches

i just oredered the f1 clutch now i just got to wait to install it thats going to be my problem now lets see how hard it is going to be to take out the tranny
does anybody know where there is a website where they show how to remove the tranny from a crx i remember i saw one but i cant find it some guy with a hatch back civic he showed how to remove it with pics too
i dont have any pics,,but its really simple if you have all the tools layed out.
remove the battery tray and battery.
remove the air intake tube and airbox.
jack up the car,put on jackstands.
drain the tranny fluid.
disconnect all the wires, speedo, etc from the tranny.
remove the axles.
put a jack and a block of wood under the tranny for support.
undo the motor mount(s)
remove the bitch pin that holds the shifter linkage to the tranny,,OR drop the linkage with the tranny by unbolting it from the tunnel. its good to drop the whole thing then you can put in new shifter bushings to easyily.
Then undo the bolts holding the tranny onto the engine, and pull..Its good to have 2nd set of hands but honestly i can pick up a stock crx tranny with one hand,it cant weight more then 60-70lbs..
jack and jackstands
block of wood
socket set
32m socket for axle nuts
screwdrivers
needle nose pliers
torque wrench
workshop manual for tq specs or just search the internet for downloadable versions.
might be some other **** im forgetting but you get the point

to let go of the axles from the disk all i have to do is take of that big bolt right or do i have to take off the the 3 screws the are around the big bolt i think they are cross screwdriver screws
how can i take off the speedo cable its kinda hard to get to its like almost under the mount do i just pull it or am i sippose to take off some screws or what
to get the axles off you remove the big 32mm nut that holds it onto the hub..do it while the car is on the ground and get a big breaker bar cause its gonna be tight,,also dont forget to take a screwdriver and hammer and beat out the crease on the nut so its not locked on..then when you raise the car remove the nut completly and tap the axles out the hub lightly..
for the speedo theres a little clip that holds it in the tranny, remove thet then pull up...dont lose the clip though
