I'd be interested but I would have to powder coat them so the paint does not chip or peel. Do you know how much they weight without tires?

they were spray painted so the paint comes off easy I think no?

If they were sprayed on top of the CW powdercoat, the paint should come off by rubbing it, it must have been preped for painting. The powder coat is too smooth a surface to paint on.

 

Yea...actually i bought them as they are. But hopefully yoshi will post up exactly how he painted them...since he was the one that did it

Still does. Look at Yoshi's finished product mounted on the car... bottom lip of the rim.

 

did you put something on the tire so the paint wouldn't stick and what type of paint did you use.

i painted right over the tyres. after the paint dried, the paint just flaked off the tyres. j00 can see the paint starting to flake off the rubber in the pic.

i used Pep Boys' flat black primer.

yshi - who needs to paint some wheels since he hasn't done it in a wheel

 

just curious...anyone have pics of the stock 15s painted flat black? those 16s look nice but im wondering how the 15s look. thanks

and to think, besides the type r key, those takata wheels are the LAST remains of my poor old 98 ITR...RIP 98-0062
