Hi, The std as you all probably know, came with no lighter. I want to put one in, but have little interest in going through the firewall.. does anyone know if the standard hatchback has any wiring for a cigarette lighter inside the cabin? If not, what is the easiest way of doing installing my aftermarket lighter? Thanks in advance! and Happy Thanksgiving! Frank.

they all come prewired...

u just need to go to the junkyard and get the actualy cig lighter and the wring that goes to the 2(maybe 4?) pin clip that ur std harness has...

 

I installed one in mine and the wiring is there......just plug it in.

 

sorry to thread jack, but i have the lighter in there, its just not wired up, where do the wires go to? btw is a 91 civic dx hatch

On second thought.. could someone please take a pic of the pin connector near the harness where the cig lighter wire plugs into, I can't seem to find it, and don't know what it looks like. I would like to connect the aftermarket cig lighter with its pos (and neg?) wires to the prewiring. Does anyone know if I could take the pin connector off the prewiring and wire into that with a pos and maybe a ground wire (neg)? ...Thank You!
