Default Pic Request FMIC Install.

I'm in the process of turboing my b20b in my 89 Civic Si HB, and was wondering if anybody here has done the same thing. Please post up your fmic install and if possible tell what brand and sizes. I really want to keep my front support or with minimal cutting into the support or bumper..Any help would be great...THANKS IN ADVANCE..
Here a pic of the front bumper..

Here's the engine bay.

I think the topic may have been covered before but very few pics were posted. I am also turboing my 91 si hatch and want everything to look as stock as possible. I did take some measurements but until I actually have a cooler in hand it is hard to see what would need cutting or how to avoid that.

I would find that very informative as well.

Have you guys using 2.5 inch charge pipes needed to remove or trim some plastic shields under the car and around the bumper area to reach the intercooler?

sorry don't mean to thread jack I think this info would be beneficial to you as well Minh826

i really hate to give bad news, but i dont think that turboing your stock b20 will be worth it. its got really thin sleeves. i had a turbo b20vtec and lost 30psi of compression in 1 week.

i think you would be very happy with a b20vtec setup.

do you realize what you just said?? you said a b20 has thin sleeves so why the hell would a b20 vtec be any different??? your using the same bottom end so the end result would still be thin sleeves, correct?

wtf the sleeves arent that bad....there are plenty of b20 turbo charged car pushing 300 hp daily driven...

its worth it...but you cant expect a 500 hp beast and daily driven...b20s are proven to push 300 daily driven easily.

he's right I have a friend with a b20 EG and its right around 300 hp. He takes it to the track every week and daily drives it that way on 91 octane and it's fine.

all in the tuning!

Im living proof that the B20 can be beaten and ran daily. I ran 280hp on my B20 CRX for over a year, then I sold the setup. Its all in the tuning. Back on topic, you will have to cut a bit ouf of bumper support depending on the size of the IC. I ran 2.25in piping on the hot side and 2.5in on the cold side and I had to cut out where the fog lights should be.

Well I have two B20 engine, one that's in the car and running and one I have for a b20vtec setup. I just want to set the one in the car all set-up for turbo and whenever I get the other b20 done. It will be just a drop in..
