Default HIGH COMPRESSION h22a. mmmmmmmm sound good

thats exactly what i an looking at. i running a f22a crank and jdm type-s pistons and a milled head. around 12.8:1 on pump gas with stock cams. also using a high flow oil pump and plan on maxing revs to 7500rpm if needed. has anybody run this kind of compression on a stock bore h22 as a daily driver before?
i am just asking opinions on set up.
this moter is already in the process of being assembled so it is a go.
i hoping to for 190whp thru a stock airbox and factory cat and exhaust
kind of a super sleeper

You will have a real hard time tuning the timing for 12.8 cr with stock cams.
I do not see how it is possibel on pump gas.

I am running cr 11,7 with Crower stage 3 and i am only running about 17 deg. off total timing.

You will need some big cams with lots off duration, and a good engine management, to pull a LOT a timing.

There's alot of people running F22 cranks in H22 blocks. I'm running an F23 crank in mine.

i thinking more like cam gears.
the block comes out to 12:1 but the head is milled to the service limit.
i might try to lower is with a thicker head gasket but i figured that i will give it a try. hey the_head are you using factory rods with that set up?
i am retaining all of the oem equipment and i am curious about the redline.
what do you think is safe ?

I'm using Crower Rods with my setup. With stock rods & crank, I wouldn't want to take it too far past 7200 rpms.

this build wasn't planned so 7000rpms will be the limit. i hope i reach my goal with hp
but i really want it to be reliable like a factory engine so it last 100000+miles

Well, you're using an H23 crank, so you can rev it a little higher and keep it reliable.

F22 crank/rods = H23 crank/rods

12.8:1 thru a stock cat isn't gonna make 190whp

I would open it up and see how it does, go for some cams if you can afford it....

Ultra high compression on pump gas won't do you a damn bit of good when you have to run dog *** timing so it doesn't ping.

Your going to counteract any positive the compression gives you due to the resulting lack of timing.

Using pump gas, unless your running some type of aggressive, custom chamber design, 12.5+ is just plain rediculous. Just because it runs, doesn't mean it won't get plain outperformed by a well rounded, balanced street gas engine built accordingly. Just my opinion.

with a .051 head gasket i will be at 12.8:1
i might use a .074 gasket it should put me at 12.4:1
i might run that larger gasket. that way i wont have to rebuild when i add larger cams

i will try a pair of gude cams. with that set up, i should see some decent power thru all factory intake and exhaust systems. should still be fun to drive even being resricted. and plus my lisence is totally FUCKED so i have to keep it quite because i dont like going to jail over noise violations

if you figure out what year and model the accord came out of you can do a parts number match and see if they are the same. If so, then they should fit.

Stock exhaust is gonna suck for power . Why not run an exhaust cutout?

no i have to pay off alot of tickets so no good on any noise.
after i pay them off i will go for a 2 1/2 or 3 inch along with a flow stack and custom intake. i dont mind tho because it will still move
