94 accord ex temp problem
I have a 94 accord ex i picked up a few months back when it was warm. Ran great felt good.
Now its cold out the temp gauge stays cold unless it sits for a period of time. It feels sluggish and gettin bad gas mileage.
BUT the heat is still warm so i know Tstat is good still. Otherwise it would blow cold.
Could the temp sensor be going bad and cause poor performance and bad has mileage? I know ecu has a preset warm up parameter, Is it staying in that all the time its driven?
There is also 2 temp sensors. 1 bigger one on tstat housing and one under the Dizzy with a single wire.. Im takin it the one in the tstat housing is for fan? Or is that in the radiator? Im sure i know the answer i just wouldnt mind some others ideas

how long does it take for your temp gauge to reach its level it needs to be at. IT could just be that you live in michigan and its cold as nuts there
no its not that cold...Like 30's-40's now. If it sits and just runs when i start it takes normal 5-10 minutes
but then i start driving and gets down to the blue C again...Will take another 5-10 min if i stop like it hasnt been running...
BUT I HAVE HEAT, so the tstat cant be stuck cuz i would have cold heat blowing

Are you sure there is a T-stat in the car to begin with, sounds to me like the car is never getting to full operating temp.
It's nothing too tough to replace the T-stat anyway. Cheap insurance.
Are the cooling fans cycling as they should when the car sits at idle?
