Default Free aerospeed coilovers worth it?

So my friend is offering me his aerospeed coil overs that are on his old project civic that he is going to complete now that he has a new toy. They are 0-4" adjustable and I wanted to lower my car anyways. I realize these arent the top of the line coil overs but they are free. So would the be worth it to put on my stock 94 civic?

He said that they do bounce a little but do not squeak and improve the handling a lot.

How about put them on, then sell them to someone else later, then spend that money on better ones?

Blowing stock shocks is the great American past-time.

Edit: After a mini-me swap i would think about putting it on, but hopefully after the mini-me come boost when i have the money.

Take the coilovers dude. Just if by the time your shocks blow you will have a reason to buy new struts/shocks and some sweet coilovers. But until than do it.

Trust me im still considering it.

What are the chances of the shocks busting if its just a 2-3" drop and not 4 inches?

i had aerospeed coilovers on my 97 hatch back in 2000. I was actually impressed how they rode. I say if they look to be in good shape. grab em. then search the classifieds on here and find some used kyb's or maybe even cheap new ones and throw em on!

The ride is going to be bad because of your stock shocks. You'll be bouncing around alot. I don't mind the coil overs, but you should get shocks.

I have skunk2 coilovers on my stock 92 VX shocks with god knows how many miles. I dropped my car to about a one finger wheel gap with 14" tires, I have not blow out my stock shocks and I also do not have a terrible ride.

Just get them and put them on your car, you will be satisfied with the small handling increase for at least a year or two before you will want to get a full suspension system.

yeah, i'd take em, and try to get that intake back too... the intake wont hurt ne thing, prolly improve gas mileage a lil, it will at least sound cooler... lol

and even if they do blow out your shocks, at least you'll be dumped... i had coils on my stock struts for a year and a half before they went, now that they are shot, the ride and handling are realy realy bad, almost dangerous, but in the mean time i save for tokico one peices...

bump for run on sentences....

Well it looks like I might get them and put them on today. Once they blow I will get nicer shocks. Then nicer coil overs.

Is 3" too low for a daily driver on stock wheels? I just dont want to f*ck up the nose piece and lip. But hey, if i accidently f*ck up the lip, just a reason to get a carbon fiber one.

Well we put a coil on today, lowered the car and the shock started leaking. It was only at 2 inches. Raised it up to stock and it stopped. I guess im gonna get me some new shocks before I can put the rest on.

They help a little, just like an exhaust helps gas mileage too.

Im not sure an intake would help on a stock engine tho.
