Has anyone ever seen glass that has been etched? I was thinking instead of having the little "DOHC VTEC" sticker I could instead etch it on the side of my rear window. It would be the same size and everything, nothing to crazy. Do you all think this would be dumb?

 

I think it would be lame only because you cant get rid of the acid etch afterwards. Just rock a sticker if you have to.

Have you seen any low rider impalas with "DOHC ...." etched in their window? Nope.

 

no need to etch your glass. just likethe car above, they have vinyl sticker material thats like a greyish titanium ish color that looks jsut like etched glass.

 

stickers like that on a non-DOHC production car , say "hey come steal me"

 

sticker....if you like it enough, then get it actually etched if it means that much to you.

 

Im not to worried about the theft, knock on a big *** peice of wood, I just think that is would look kind of cool.
And I dont want to get a sticker. If I am going to etch it I want it done, not come fake looking thing.
But, I think I have decided against it. Thanks for the responses though.

 

get the glass etch sticiker.. the material is like FOGGY SCOTH TAPE(MAGIC TAPE) except it is a little thicker and more flexible.... i have greddy glass etch stickers on my car for like ever and i've had no problems.. get the sticker and see how u like it first.. that way u wont have regrets...
