Default Trouble with built turbo b16. Hardly any oil pressure!!! HELP!!!

The motor is a b16a2 with je 9:1 81mm pistons, eagle rods, ac block guard, acl bearings, rev valvetrain and stock cams, type r oil and water pump. 57 trim turbo on 6 psi running off fmu. One morning i crank up the car and i notice that the oil pressure light is on ( for the first time ). So i turn off the car and check the oil. i had oil. so the next thing i did was replace the oil sending unit. i still had the same problem. So i took off the oil filter and turned the motor and no oil came out of there. Next thing i did was drop the oil pan and checked my bearings which were perfectly fine. Afterwards i replaced my oil pump. After all of that i crank the motor and the oil pressure light is no longer on.

Now after i fixed the oil light situation i hear a loud noise coming from the head of the motor. So i take a good look and notice that the exhaust cam was worn out. So i changed the cams the gsr cams and i still have the same noise. So i took off the valve cover and cranked the motor and no oil was splashing around in the head. So now im confused. What can it be???? If anyone can help it will be greatly appreciated. If you need more info please let me know.

Thank you
mike

i checked my oil and my filter and i have no metal pieces inside. There is hardly any oil reaching the head. So does that mean my problem is the pickup?

this is very odd to me too, well i remeber this happening to a friend because he took a B16 head that had the oil passage plugged up for a LS vtec Conversion but im not sure what your problem is, it seems to be in the head somewhere

i think my problem might be my oil pickup. because before i changed the pump the car wasnt making the noise and after i changed the pump the car started to make the noise. When i changed the pump instead of removing the pickup i bent it out of the way. So i think thats the problem.

The oil pick up is actually called an oil strainer. also im going to change the release valve and spring on the oil pump just in case. Hopefully my problem will be solved.

my problem ended up being that the cam caps where in the wrong order. Stupid me. But i checked my bearings my oil pickup and my oil pump. So atleast i know all that stuff is fine.
