Prelude F22A1 Auto to H22 VTEC MAN?
I currently own a 92 Prelude S. That's the problem. I would like to convert it to a manual transmission, but I'm afraid of what that may entail. So, if I could I was wondering if I could hook up an H22 VTEC eng with my F22A Auto tranny with MP1A-1017480. Could I do this?
I was in the same boat as you. Soon I will begin my install. It's very possible. I'm not sure what the transmission swap would entail, but the engine swap is fairly straight forwad as I am told, it's just all the little things/ extra parts that you'll want to but that kills you. Good luck and let me know I f I can help- oh and Kevie88 did a 93 S stick to vtec stick, he could prolly help you.
ya, i'm in exactly the same position as u.. 92 S auto. Wanna do a swap to man and possibly H22A. Of course it'd be a lot cheaper (labor-wise) to do both at the same time, but if the $$ isn't there oh well. I've been calling some shops around here in SoCal, but some of them said that the auto to man swap is too hard (because of parts and labor)- they won't do it on preludes or accords. <-- is it really that difficult? i mean, do you have to drill holes for the clutch n stuff?
also, does n e 1 know a place to find a cheap H22?
