so yeah i been reading about the DIY trunk brace and i was looking around my trunk and found that. i thought it was the OEM spot for the performance rod but a lot of people said that it wasnt it. that the ITR had a differenct design or something. so im wondering what is that for? theres no bolts and nothing is attached to it. the picture was borrowed so it itsnt my acutal trunk. also whats the bolt size for it?

the hole on the left is a spot for the black crew clip to hold that rear trunk panel

 

i believe it holds the trunk Panels.

 

are u serious? hmmm well i was missing a lot of the clips for the pannel. can anyone confirm this?

You would be bracing the back of the car, and not the frame,
So it would be pretty much useless trying to use the inner holes.

 

the one you pointed in the arrow is not a panel holder, they wouldn't re-enforce a panel holder, its a baby seat anchor bolt location, you should have one on the other side if i'm not mistaken.

 

you guys got it all wrong, thats the hole to put in the VTECH juice

Where there is a red circle in the picture is where you mount the trunk brace bar. You will need to drill that hole on your car.
