Default Ignition probelms on 12,9:1 (B18C6 JUN)

A friend has a DC2 itr with B18C6

After a full mugen phase, he bought this:

Jun stage 3 camshaft + valvetrain
EK9 pistons
-0,4mm head working
and all the suffs needed

Problem is, while tuning, @ 7500rpm, the power false down sudenly, and gets back on 8000.

A guy said it's because of the high compression engine...

Any one ? A solution, or a searching way ?

so he put those parts in there with no ecu change or tuning? sounds like what happens when you install parts with no tuning.

The graph would be helpful. A/F graph too. The fact that it is a high compression engine has nothing to do with a loss in power or dip at 7,500. It could be a header/exhaust dip, or it could be a tuning problem.

I had the same problem on my 12:5:1 CR GSR with jun 3 cams..

- What kind of cam gears does he have and what are they set at?

- What size exhaust piping is he running.. Test pipe or CAT?
