Ive just bought a turbo kit for my car and I know Im going to have to upgrade my exhaust as well. Ive been searching online and happen to like the Hayame Exhaust. Its a 2.5" pipe, full stainless and its $300 shipped. Does anyone have this setup on there turbo teg? I have a sound clip of one on a N/A RSX but was wondering how they sounded on a turbo application. AND PLEASE DO NOT REPLY WITH:
YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR?
GET ____ EXHAUST
OR BASH THE EXHAUST IF YOU DONT HAVE ANY PRIOR USE WITH IT
Thank you

the only reason im going with a 2.5 is because the downpipe is 2.5. I want to have a uniformed exhasut throughout.
The Hayame was my first exhaust and if you haven't heard it at WOT.....man your in for a surprise. I had so many tickets with it just cruising. And most turbo cars i've seen are 3" exhaust
You can still make good power with a 2.5 inch exhaust on a turbo gsr.......
I have a greddy evo 2 catback. it sounds sick. i havent heard how the exhaust ur asking about sounds though sorry

Yeah Ive heard it WOT and it is loud but not obnoxious. Also with the turbo it'll quiet it down some.

For some reason I dont think that the Hayame is a true 2.5' exhaust.
Quoted from Hayame's website-
Hayame cat-back exhaust system is a high - flow exhaust system with low restriction, large radius mandrel bends throughout and a straight through cannon style muffler design. Feature: i) Aggressive angled mounting position provides import drag styling. ii) computerized CNC bending. iii) Precision cut flanges. iv) Exposed micro TIG welding. v) Adjustable hanger. vi) 2 Hayame laser etched nameplates. vii) Includes resonator & silencer accessory. viii) 2.25" diameter tubing on non-turbo applications.
I had/sold this exhaust cause it was too loud in my area and caused me a couple of noise complaint tickets, but the sound that the exhaust makes is comparable to an N1. I love it, but I don't want to go deaf

there aren't many good turbo exhausts out really. i saw a thermal and a tanabe crack in two just from the new england weather. im going rsr exmag, i would rather loose a few hp and have a nice sounding car.
my thermals ok so far.. only thing that pisses me off is the tip doesn't line up with my 98 bumper, wtf.. and it sounds decent, its a pretty smooth mellow sound. Rips WOT but thats prolly just my dump tube blowing soot all over my engine bay.
U can actually sorta hear it in the vids on my myspace if u wanna check it out..
