2007 NHRA Xplod Sport Compact Series rules now posted
REVISED RULEBOOK RELEASED FOR NHRA XPLŌD SPORT COMPACT SERIES
GLENDORA, Calif. (Nov. 17, 2006) – The NHRA Xplōd Sport Compact Racing Series has released its 2007 Rulebook, which can be downloaded at http://www.nhrasportcompact.co....html.
The rule book changes build upon the successes of 2006 and are designed to ensure the high level of performance currently enjoyed by the premier sport compact series in the country.
“The goal of the NHRA Sport Compact Tech Committee is to develop rules to increase participation while continuing to provide fans with the best side-by-side sport compact drag racing in the country,” said Josh Peterson, general manager, NHRA Xplōd Sport Compact Racing Series
Some of the changes include enhanced requirements for oil containment devices to reduce the number of oildowns and adjustments for weight and turbo sizes to promote growth and parity in all categories.
The series is highlighted by its five championship classes (Pro RWD, Pro FWD, Modified, Hot Rod and Honda Tuning All Motor). In addition, the NHRA Xplōd Stylefest showcases a compliment of the lifestyle and entertainment elements synonymous with today’s sport compact scene. More information is available at nhrasportcompact.com.
As always, any question on the rules please email Pat Cvengros at pcvengros@nhra.com.

"All cars must be equipped with a drain valve located on return side of fuel rail to facilitate removal of fuel samples for fuel-check purposes."
We have not been asked to have that on the SFWD cars before. I wonder if this is going to be something that tech is going to be checking, or if they are going to start setting up the fuel test shack on the top end of the track.
