I still have the supercharger on the card ($6K), but also have about $50,000 (net gain) in options I can exercise after the 1st of the year (tax reasons). My company is kicking butt. I will pay the card off in January when I exercise those options.

Ah to be in that position again....it would be nice!
I'm thinking of racking up a SC on a credit card since I have the ability to easily pay it off within 5 months, but I really don't want the overhead of intrest....but damn I want that SC!
FYI, I lived for 5 years without a credit card. After quiting an awesome job on Sept 8th, 2001, and thus not getting the job I had lined up after the 11th, I decided to pay everything off and scrounge around for a while. And scrounge I did. Bleah. I had paid off 18K in CC bills, and cut them all up. Glad I did too, otherwise I would have been tempted to use them.

debt is the worst place to be. i have mine down to like $800 for best buy, $500 for home depot, sears is all paid up, amex gets paid off every month if possible, and then the fantastic car note that seems to never go down. i'm dropping 10 grand on it after the first of year when i try to refinance for a lower interest rate. 9.4% isnt very fun, and my cd's are only paying out at 5.3%, so it just makes more sense to get everything with high interest paid off then drop the money back into cds. im not rich, im kinda broke, but im doing what i can to get by
