Ok, My goals for this winter are 400whp daily on 91 octane.. and 600+ for the track on race fuel...

Im going to have the turbo to support it, as well as the engine setup...

what im wondering is what fuel upgrades should i be looking at...

I currently have 320whp... my fuel setup is a walbro 255.. and 750cc RC's.. no fuel rail, no FPS, and no stock fuel lines..

Im wondering if i should be lookin into another pump.. maybe inline... Bosch or something..
What are you guys with these kinds of numbers running for a fuel setup...

stock fuel rail will not support 600+whp. I would upgrade your pump, 1000cc injectors, FPR and a fuel rail (they arnt that expensive)

i was plannin to get a FPS, fuel rail and go with the 1000cc's


i know now that im gonna need to go with a bigger pump

get some nice aeromotive stuff.. like a fpr, and all the an fittings..
id go with a inline pump to just to be safe, .. that will run with your walboro 255
go see danny to get a fuel rail. i think they make some..

This is all the fuel stuff we ran on our LS/VTEC and it made 615whp @21psi on race gas and 455whp @14psi on 94 pump gas.

This is true. I love when guys with 300hp setups think they need an upgraded fuel rail. Doesn't help matters that there's 80 people making fuel rails for hondas, they're all gonna tell you that you need one! lol

I know the fuel rail can support 600whp but I dont think the stock pump can.

I see, I read it differently. 255 walbro has pushed 600hp without problem on my bros and friends b18c's

 

i made 613whp on walbro 255 stock lines aem reg, rail, and filter. didnt have a fuel pressure guage but im sure it was dropping. in the spring im going to upgrade my fuel system with new lines and a bigger pump. probly the bosch 044 seems to be the new things for hondas pushing the 6-700 range.

so if u can afford to do it, i would suggest sumping the tank, running something a little bigger than the walbro 255. or 2 of them. and some bigger fuel lines.

 

walbro 255 in-line and intank pumps, injector driver and fpr and you should be set

 

the problem isn;t that it can't support it the problem is for how long. bursting for a few moments on the stocekr is one thing, but to me knowing something about fluid dynamics from the military, i do not see it being able to sustain that rate of flow long at all. on a quick hit ok, but if you take it on the freeway i pretty certain it will lean out after a few moments of running it hard. everyone uses the excuse of it's a built honda motor it can;t take that, and you knwo what? they are right. why? if you don;t provide proper fuel support along with the tune then it won;t do it long.

on a single cam civic, i run a 8- pressir eand a -6 return. I ru a high end bosch pump and i have nothing to worrie about when it comes to fueling. I run 1000cc injectors and yes a larger fuel rail just for the added insurance.

People laugh at me and wonder why i run such large lines and stuff ona single cam.

my answer is always the same.
single, twin, quad. let you make 100+hp per cyclinder on pump fuel and see if you want to chance ruining a $12g setup over a fueling issue that could have been solved with a few hundred bucks. (engine, turbo, fuel all blown when motor goes)

i'm not saying it won't. i'm saying it won't sustain it. there's a difference. also the hotter the stuff gets the lower the pressure it prodcues. that's why I over built it. it doens;t have heating issues liek other motors and it can do what I want it too and last.


if you build to the miniums, you get the miniums. if you build tot he max, who knows how far you ca go.
