whats causing my o2 sensor to keep on goin out???
alright this is like my 4th o2 sensor and i noticed that its gone bad again. its good for like a month then the cel always comes back on(cel code 1). when i turn on the car it is off, but when im gassin it and i let go of the gas and brake without clutching or goin to neutral the cel goes on. what do you guys think is causin this??? o2 sensors are expensive to replace so i would rather fix the thing that keeps on causin this.
Shielded cable for the white wire going to d14 pin on the ECU? Otherwise you'll be getting random EMF causing CELs occasionally - which means your O2 sensors are fine, but the ECU is getting a dirty signal.
I'd expect a lack of shielded cable if it was wired after the fact.

The jumper harness between the obd2a wiring in the firewall and the ECU will not make a difference. This is if the O2 sensor is ran hardwired without shielding.
About the only way the jumper harness could be culprit is if the harness eliminated routing the white d14 wire to the logic ground wires. But even that is unlikely to cause intermittent CELs. It's very important though that that lead is shielded as much as possible.
Do a search on "shielded sensor o2".

What modifications do you have, and are you using OEM Honda O2 sensors?
