Default B18c1 Gsr cam?

My setup:
b18c1 stock internals
ls tranny
4-1 megan racing header
short ram intake
2.5 straight back exhaust
zex 55 shot

Ill admit im not knowlegdable what so ever when it comes to cams. But i really want to up my cams. Which would be a wise choice to go with especially since i have that 55 shot which i only use about once a month? Ive searched other threads but no one mentioned anything about spraying.
Also am I still going to be able to tune and chip my engine? Someone told me that the zex would mess up a tuned and chipped motor. But I thought after getting cams it would be extremely helpful and neccesary to get a tune.

For the haters done bash on me too hard. Remember everyone has to start somewhere.

If I were you, the first thing I would do is look into a B16/gsr tranny. I think you would be surprised with the results.

Really? I like the ls tranny its got some long *** gears. I hadnt thought about getting a different transmission. So you would choose tranny over cams?

indeed, tranny change to b16 will do wonders for accelleration. i would consider this being the first mod, along w/ lighter weight flywheel.

long gears suck for acceleration

Longer gears = longer acceleration time. Sure you will have a higher top speed, but it's gonna take you allot longer to get there. The tranny I have in my car, at 70mph my rpm's are a little over 5k in 5th gear.(type r trans with MF 3-4-5 gear set, aka SHORT.)

Yeah stock FD, 215-45-15 tires. If I drove the car daily it would be a pain in the ***, freeway driving gets old REAL fast. But for the amount of miles I put on my car, I love my transmission
