Timing Belt Replacement Parts (New or Reuse?)
Hi Guys! I am new to this forum and this is my first post. My 97 prelude type sh's timing belt slipped with about 135,000 miles on the clock (I know I should have gotten it done earlier). I took the cylinder head off the block to see if there was any damage and luckily there was no damage to the pistons or valves.
I am in the process of putting everything back together and would like to know what I need to replace and what I can keep. The one thing I am definately replacing are the drive belts. I bought a gasket kit (BNIB 06110-P5M-000) which includes the intake, exhaust, head and valve cover gasket. I am also replacing the head bolts since I heard they can stretch.
The next step is changing the timing belt and water pump. I would like to keep the total parts cost to a minumum so I can get the car running again and sell it. I was wondering when changing the timing belt, what parts will need to be replaced and what parts can be reused? So far I have ordered the timing belt, timing belt tensioner (auto), balance shaft belt and water pump. Do you think I can get by reusing the timing belt adjuster/pulley (18) and balance shaft tensioner (10). If I am missing any other parts please let me know. Thanks for your help in advance!

Youl'll be fine re-using the tensioner pullies. Instead of putting another auto-tensioner on, most people tend to do the H23 manual tensioner. If you do a search youll find all the info you need. You seem to have everything else in check, i would replace the oil-pump while your at it.
When you replace the timming belt you only have to worry about the auto-tensioner and the two belts. The Tensioner pullies dont need to be replaced unless their is obvious wear or damage to them. They are very well made and very durable.
