Default Damaged rocker arm rods

Okay, I never kept an eye on my Ti retainers. And they wore really thin. And I busted quite a few valve springs, but no dropped valves. Really a miracle.

Anyhow, I wanted to pull my ITR LMAs out... and the rocker arm rods were binding in the head. I managed to pull it out w/ a slide hammer. There were some strange dent marks on the rods as well as some wear areas on it.

Has anyone seen this kind of damage before? I'm wondering if the head is junk now? I was hoping to rebuild it ...

i have a rocker arm rod that has some nice discoloration at one of the ends, and if i remember right it wanted to be a bitch and not come out very easily along with the orifice tube things...

but anyway if you pulled the rods out with a slide hammer im sure you fucked up the head. sure you scrapped up the bores that they ride in...

they really shouldnt get damaged unless there was insufficient oiling... there is only one way to install them...
