I have a b16 S1 cable tranny with ACT HDPP and 6 puck unsprung. I am running factory honda gear oil. I can shift smoothly under 3500 or so and higher than 5000 or so when I am racing. But anything in between with regular driving it grinds???

Is it the clutch, gear oil, shift linkage, or just syncros?

dose the clucth engage at the right pedal height.........the pedal is supposed to be like 7 inches from the floor when ur clutch engages..................im not sure if that would cause it but i would check sum specs, just to be sure.
