Accord newbie: 90 accord short throw?????
Not new to Honda/Acura, but I am new as hell to the Accord thing. Very unfamiliar to me.
I am sure this has been hashed over to hell and back. I want a short throw for my 90 accord. (The Pacesetter part has been disco'ed.)
Does anyone make ANYTHING for this car? I have scrubbed Ebay for days. Nothing.
What is the interchage for the shifter in my car??? Can I get a short throw for any other cable shifted car? Newer Prelude? Newer Accord?
I really need to catch up fast. Will someone give me some real advice?
All my "potnas" are leaving me in the dirt with their bolt ons and other junk.
Thanks,
IT

yes it has been covered and no. no one really makes 4th gen short shifters. but you can use the prospec and the forbidden one. they make them for the 5th gen accords and preludes. i think it may require minor mods but the 4th geners that have them love them from what i saw. you can also do the diy. i don't recommend or like this optiong though. i perfer to just pay and have it reliable considering other have used them a rate them highly. but use the search option at the top right. search the archived and in the forum seach pull down to the accord forum. you shoud get a nice number of results.
well you can take the plastic console that the shifter is in and put on a 91-93 one it is wider that is why the short throw shift kit wont work and put it in I bought a neuspeed one and I could not put it in reverse or fifth gear cause it would hit but that is more work then its worth
try cb7tuner.com and try a search. there are a couple people on there that make them for like 70 bucks shipped. im getting mine VERY soon.
