New wheel bearing got screwed (searched but no anwser)
I was parking in philly and i got a flat when i tried to get the tire off i broke two lug studs on the same side. So i was stuck in the city with no tools so i had to have it towed to a firestone shop about a mile away. The next day they call me telling me for 2 new tires mounted balenced and the lugs replaced its was like $300 which is way high for 2 $50 tires and about 2 hours of work but i had no choice so i let it go, then about an hour later they call telling me some BS story about how the wheel bearing will have to be removed and a new one put in so they drop the total price on me for all that $600 i went nuts its was only 2 lugs on the front passanger side so i calm down she tells me they will give me tires at 50% off because they failed to tell me before so its like $450 total job i was still pissed but i can do anything because they have my car pulled apart in the city so finally i pick it up im just happy to have it back but i hear a weird sound its like a squeeking comeing from my the same wheel where my "new" wheel bearing is. Butg there was never a sound with my old bearing, but its only during low speeds and when i brake. And on top of that when i do break my car makes a clunking sound like the abs is kicking on and off rapidly And all these sounds are new. Any body that can help at all it would be greatly appricated... Thanks
Oh By the way Market and 32nd Street Firestone gets

Sorry to hear that man
I had the same problem, I broke a stud while rotating my tires. The goodyear next to my house said the same thing, we have to take out and replace the bearing because it might come out when we hammer your rusted stud out. That was bullshit, it wasnt rustted stuck, they just tried to screw me over big time.
They quoted me 500 flat for fixing the stud and replacing the bearing.
I then called my mech in Lancaster, PA and he did it for me for 72$ including the stud and lug he had to buy. (i supplied the bearing, 62$ from drivewire.com i do believe)
Firestone/goodyear suck nuts, they screw you over big time. I advise agains going to them under any circumstances.
Sorry for the long post, but I feel your pain, I was just lucky I know a guy thats cheap and reliable.
Can't help you about the noise though, sorry.

Thanks hate to see stuff like this happin to people but i was in a jam and had to let them fix it. I mean i went in there with 1 problem and left with 2 i just need some good news
good way to tell if its your wheel bearing is like around 45 mpg... turn your steering wheel from left to right. when you take the weight off each tire, the noise should stop. turning your steering wheel to the right should take weight off your right wheel and so on.

No you did not. You should have told them to complete only the work that was agreed upon. You could have had the wheel bering fixed elsewhere. The most likely damaged the wheel bearing when the removed the hub to replace the studs.

the way to tell if your wheel bearing is going bad, jack up the car and wiggle the wheel back and forth if it moves at all then you should go ahead and get one.
i wiggled my wheel and turned it at 45 but its still making noise i dunno what it is im starting to think that they didnt put my rotor back on right it may be loose at higher speeds ill have to check that out
And now its back Im still hearing the squeeking at low speeds 0-25 and when i hit the brakes at any speed i hear the squeeking and when i use the brakes at speeds higher than 45 the stearing wheel shakes pretty bad im not too sure what the problem could be i know its somewhere down on my psgr side but im not sure what is causing this
Maybe a bad hub?
Or something with the axel?
Need help please!

Take it back and tell them to unfuck your car. Tell them that you paid for them to fix it, and it's not fixed.
Either they didn't take it on a test drive, or they ignored the problems, or both. These people obviously don't know how to work on cars.

Very good synopsis, and yes, its true for most bad bearings.
