Default Car Rev's funny

Great! the Thermostat was the problem. The car doesn't over heat anymore. Thanks everyone that helped, Now for another question can someone tell me why is it the my 95 accord rev's up and down and then stays above 1000 rpm for a while? Ever since a put an intake in my car this has been happening. I also have a couple of hoses that never go connected to anything. Where should those loose hoses be connected too? There is only one port on the intake tunnel so I put one of the hoses on that. Any Idea's?

do u have a vtec EX? If you did you might not capped the vacuum hose on the back of the intake manifold, i had a similiar problem at first.

This is a VTEC. I Capped one of the hoses in the back which helped in lowwering the rev, but sometimes while I am driving and I come to a stop the car rev's high for a minute until I hit the gas and it goes back to normal. Any Idea's?

could be the fast idle valve being sticky, it is on the intake manifold and lets more air through to keep the idle up when you create more load at idle with accessories.

I never had this problem when I had the OEM stock intake on.
