Default cost vs. power

what is better for your money a ls swap or one of the zc's. im on a budget and i just want a daily driver thats not a joke. for the amount of money spent what is the best gain and also what is a better upgrading platform.

zc is always the best bang for the buck

especially if you boost it later on

you can have a fully swapped boosted junkyard zc making 200 wheel for the price or an hmotors b16 swap

200whp vs 160 crank, or about 130ish whp

whats better?

But with a fixed budged a turbo zc will cost as much as a stock LS

which is why im allowed to compare the turbo zc vs the ls.

You can have a turbo zc, counting the parts for well under 2K, a junkyard setup with like 8 pounds and an FMU you can have it for under 1500$ which is about how much an ls costs

Dude thats retarted. ZC and LS are pretty much the same price.

The LS will make more power for the same cost. Its not an opinion, but fact.

they might be the same cost for the block but add up ecu, axles, linkadges, mounts, obd conversion (if needed) and extra labor (weither you do it yourself or not, still a **** load more work) ZC comes out a cheaper, faster, and easier alternative

the only problem with going ls is the mount and trans you have to buy. i have a zc and i would go with a ls. YOu have a better start. i you feel like boosting it then you can. ad vtec later. build the bottom end. get a better trans. you can only go so far with a d no matter how you look at it

Fact, stock LS > stock ZC in power

Fact, ZC > LS in cost

Fact ZC > LS in labor

Fact with 2 thousand dollars to spend as the limit, you are better off going turbo ZC then LS Vtec

You can get an ls for 300 just look around, Although i like the zc's for the Somewhat low mileage even if its not exactly 50,000 like its said to be.

Like its already been said.......YOU HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE HELL OF THE REST OF THE SWAP FOR A B SERIES!!!!!! The zc in any of its forms bolts right in to the same tranny and all.
