Default Revs shoot up when I start my car? (just finished a swap)

Well I had to take out my b18c block so I decided to swap in my b16 temporarily untill I can rebuild the b18.

Well I finished my swap, turned the car to on, no CEL's, so I start it and right after it starts it immeadiatly revs to like 6k. I think it might go farther Im not sure but I killed it right away.

What could be the cause of this? My TPS is adjusted correctly. Did I overlook something when doing my swap?

make sure your throttle aint wide open... check your throttle cable? might just be a thought.

checked that...

could it be:
-spark plug wires on in the wrong order?
-timing off?
-timing belt off?

check your throttle and make sure its not wide open also check your IACV, but i just had this problem with my car. take your air box or cold air intake off and there will be 2 holes inside the throttle body before the flapper. stick your finger over them one at a time one of them should bring your idle down. if its the bottom hole like, mine was, then its the fast idle valve which is right under the throttle body and has 2 coolant lines going to it. change that and you should be good. you can use one off of and ls.

First check to make sure that you dont have any leaks in the intakemanifold inself of in the gasket. It can leak from the injector seals, the TB, the IACV, or the gasket itself can be bad. Any of these will cause a high idle. There is also a small throttle stop on the TB that can be adjusted down, and you can check to make sure that the idle adjustment is not all the way out.

Okay I got the revs shooting up fixed. Now it doesn't idle that well...it will sit there and act as if it's going to die but it wont.
