my 96 vtec prelude was stolen..thinking about a gsr can anyone help me out??
i had a 96 vtec prelude h22 intake exhaust it was my second prelude and before i had the non vtec si model. i felt like my 96 vtec was pretty fast i know it wasnt much trouble racing gsr's. but their is soo much aftermarket for a integra plus i like the body of they integra. basicly i want to know which car would you say is best for low quartermile times as well as good handleing . any advice would be appreciated.
for sure im not too worried about the theft thing. i just want performance and a good car so still the gsr the type r internals are sick and seem like their not too hard to come by..14.9 would be a cool time with a few mods anyone know what mods it would take?
GSR + coilovers & rear sway + good brakes + minor boltons and tunning = A lot of fun.

If your going for strait line.. The carb legal greddy kit with some good tunning (hondata s300) is fun and cheap. But dont forget, if your gonna make it go fast make shure you have the car to keep it under control..suspension & brakes which should come first.

your saying your prelude beat gsrs before? I've heard preludes loseing to gsr alot cuz of their weight... besides that point... you should get a gsr becuase more parts and cheaper price than prelude parts... big improvements also. Good luck with your choice either way.

I've smoked h22's that had i/h/e and looked pretty "hooked up" before. don't know how though! maybe just cause i'm a great racer!hahah. j/k! I would go with the GSR. As you might already know I own one myself and love the car.
I don't know if you guys have a grudge or anything aganist preludes but my best friend had a gsr and we raced all the time. I would launch off him and keep pullin away the whole time. Other gsrs I used to embarrass I'm not sure why you think vtec preludes are slow I know for sure they are faster than gsrs and I'm talkin about 93 96 vtec ludes.
Wow I was way too devastated when my 2001 GSR got stolen. I told myself I'd never get a honda/acura again.
But if you must get another honda, I suggest the GSR. It's very tough to find a clean one now-adays. Goodluck.

exactly, i had both motors and the h22a is fast, way more torque, its a beautiful motor, its just the honda scene revolves around the b series! and is slowly turning into a k series scene! h22a and b18c
