92-95 Civic Headlights eBay Clear Lens Replacement Question about Light Output
I have done my fair share of searching here on H-T for a definite answer on the light output of the clear lens headlights that you can get from eBay VS the stock lens.
The closest that i've gotten from searching is this thread:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1216535
but that thread is about a year old, and the people who said they bought the clear lens versions didn't say anything about light output.
the thread ended - in classic "HT-my answer to everything is JDM yo!" post... a guy posting a pic of either his jdm Stanley's or his stock Stanley's, can't tell all i see is glare.
now the problem with taking a picture of your headlights with them on.. like the guy did, is it doesn't say anything. other than "look at my bright *** glare! i bet my glare is brighter than your glare!"
cause a camera just picks up all the light, and adjusts the shutter time, so that you can still see an image, other than just glare..
a good picture is a picture of either the cut-off or how far the light actually shoots from either the dash or the hood..
to take this picture the camera has to be VERY stable - meaning it can not MOVE AT ALL, and have a manually adjustable shutter, and the flash has to be off or set to a "slow" mode....
If any one who owns these eBay clear lens headlights for the EG/EH/EJ then please respond and tell me what you think about the light output compared to the stock lights.
if you do not have any information on these headlights please hit the "backspace" key on your keyboard.

Come on, nobody owns a pair of these?
I will not be using the corners, i have vision styled corners, i just wanna know how the light output of the clear ones compare to the stock?

if they are about the same as stock, then i'll just wait and get some denji type headlights, and retro them. but that won't be for a while, cause doing a retro is expensive...

well heres the best i can do. my friend bought a pair of one piece clears for his delsol just like that, and i would have to say they are just as good compared to stock. he just didnt align them right so they are a lil off but they light up just as good as stock.
Ive got the black housing ones from TYC. I've had them for over a year and a few months. I've been in 2 decent accidents causing damage to the front and still haven't broke, just a bit scratched. The light output is decent. Its not like the OEM one's, how it has smooth lines of light output. Its a bit choppy, beam wise, but they work and look great, and the city light attachment that you can plug in is pretty neat as well. If your looking for distance wise on how they look it depends on how you adjust them. If I get some time within the week ill try and get a decent pic. I've got upgraded bulbs that I got for free (walmart brand) and there pretty good. Ill be putting an HID kit in sometime to increase the distance of the beam.
