Default Winter beater repair progress: Phases! eheh

Picked up this '89 Civic hatch in September, been picking away at it while I drove the DA until October (engine swap/suspension etc over the winter).

Day I bought it:

Some dust?


Chrome fender trim (err rust denial) FTL:


Ahhhh!!:


Getting started:


After some serious custom FG (remember winter beater) work, duraglass, tin snips, and lots of shaping, then a rattle can paint job (for a total of $50):



And the real project hibernating for the winter:

good job on getting rid of the rust..but wtf is up with the wheels/tires on the black car?

im sorry but i will have to agree that offset looks horrible, but good job on the cheap rust fix for the hatch

honestly...i think you should put them crome thingy's on the hatch paint em black and put the DA wheels on it and slamm the mug out of it...but then agian its your beater.

:werd: .. and the thing is, I have a totally different plan than just running the wheels as is, but I'll just let the end product do the talking when I'm done!

I don't think what I said was being butt-hurt, I was telling you my opinion of your statement . I'm not just slapping them on and running them like that, there's alot of work going into the car, and changes to the wheels over the winter, FYI. But really, I'm building the car for myself, my opinion is the only one that matters!
