yeah, those sites will help a lot. you actually have to cut and splice a few wires but if you use common sense it's not bad at all. as far as the speedo..down on your tranny there is the VSS..it's really simple to pull out..one or two bolts. you can exchange it with a 92-95 d series VSS then you just hook up the three wires. a few of the things are a pain in the butt and take extra work if you want them..the door open lights, the low fuel light, etc.
yeah, the second site is updated I believe to cover all the wires. I have an SiR cluster sittin around, I just haven't went to the install yet because finishing my b16 swap is priority, then the brakes, then the cluster.
yeah, i switched from an 89 cluster to a 90 crx cluster to go with my dash, then after i did my b16 i put in the SiR cluster..makes sense when the B16 tranny (at least mine did) came with an electronic VSS, so all i had to do was wire it up.

not that bad at all. you have the plugs for the SiR cluster, right? there's four of em. you need the electronic VSS though. get it from a junkyard or something..
just take your time and follow the charts that people have made.

seriously, repinning is not that hard. you just use a very small screwdriver to get the pin loose from the plug it's in..then use the chart to figure out where it goes on the other cluster, then plug it in. not that hard..
i dont have the SiR plugs for the cluster either...
besides the SiR plugs, i need the fuel level sensor, the electronic VSS, and the wires for the doors, correct? where would i get the fuel level sensor and the electronic VSS that would fit my 90 crx si?

ouch..you really do need a set of those plugs..not sure, maybe other usdm civics use the same plugs?? the VSS you can get from a 92-95 civic..shouldn't matter what trim. fuel sensor can be gotten from a 91 teg i believe..same w/ door sensors. i would worry about the VSS and the plugs first.
Yes, the VSS will work on the ZC. It fits exactly the same as the mechanical, just uses a wire to the sensor in the dash, instead of a cable (spring). REALLY easy to get to on the backside of the tranny, just take off your intake and move some wire loom. HTH, Overkll
yea..the wiring was easy. especially since you have a 90 (i have an 88). the hard thing for me is getting the stock vss out of the tranny. i've tried numerous times, but the damn thing seems to be stuck. i removed 1 pin and 1 bolt, and it still won't budge... perhaps there's another bolt down there...but i haven't found it.
any suggestions?

so your speedometer doesnt work? did you get the little CRX picture to work (doors, rear hatch)? what engine do you have? where did you get your plugs from?
