You have to host them at a website such as http://www.photobucket.com

you then copy and paste the image url and paste it into the actual message here on HT

 

People also host pics on streetfire.net, cardomain.com, imageshack.us, etc etc.

If you use Photobucket, under each pic you'll see three different ways to tag an image -- a direct URL, an HTML <tag>, and a forum-friendly [img][/img] tag. Use the [img] one for posting pics around here.

You can also see how this works by clicking the "Reply" to my post and then hitting the Quote button; you'll see what the address looks like for the image below:

Well, I did that pic for a thread over at ephatch.com where some of us were Photoshopping eyes & mouths from the Cars movie characters onto our own. The owner of the EP on the far right in that pic (the one with the halo headlights and replica Mugen cf grille) posted it up and asked for her fiance's RSX to get the Pixar treatment. I've had a few beers with them, so the first source that came to mind was Mater's hickboy teeth. It came out better than I expected, and I still laugh whenever I look at it.
