What's up HT. I'm thinking of installing a set of extended wheel studs. I know they are required for some autocross classes and if you want to run slicks. I just hear that they are a pain to install. Something about repressing the bearings or something? Can someone clear this up for me and lead me in the right direction on installation I can do myself. Don't really need them but I want to see if I can run em.
Yes, to run the extendo studs, you will need to press out the hub and bearing if you want to do it right. I've heard of a "ghetto" way of grinding the four points out of the rear of the hub, or whatever, so the studs will come out without the press action.......good luck

uh, not required at all. just if you are using wheel spacers. its the only time you need them.
they are only a pain to install because you have to remove the front hub to do it right. as joe mentioned, ppl will grind a few spots in the knuckle or the stud itself to fit it through without taking the hub off. take a look at your hub and knuckle installed, youll see.
the rear is easy to do tho. the hub disassembles easy enough.
just dont use a hammer to knock the studs out while its still installed on the spindle. that will mess up your bearings easy! wait til the hub is out.
you can use some early model rear integra studs, they will get your 10mm longer, for cheap and OEM quality.
