Thinking of Selling my R. HOW MUCH?
Hey guys the other day I was wondering what my car was worth and if I should sell it and move on. I have owned the car for about a year and 2 months now. It is a 1998 with 87k. The car is all stock except for a few bolt ons DC header, intake, MSD blaster, and b pipe. Ive got the factory manuals and all. The car is extra clean and I am the 3rd owner. I never drive her bcuz the fear of some soccer mom creaming me at the redlight.
She only gets out maybe once or twice a month. This is my dream car and love every driving minute with it. Like I said Im just testing waters and seeing what its worth. The car is paid for and title in hand. All vins match up all around the car, factory inside and out. Another problem is I have limited space to store her, bcuz of my boat and other projects laying around. Just let me know what the going price is. Thanx for positive input.
Piks of my R are on the NASHVILLE H-Tech meet thread.
Looking for authentic CTR if TEG is sold. .
98 TYPE R(HIBERNATION)
97 DX hatch(DD)
96 DB8 (FOR SALE)
02 S2000 (sold)
00 EBP SI (SOLD)

there's another guy in the classifieds selling his for 16k with 40k so i would say with the milege, 12-14k tops. i just sold my 97 with 65k for 14k (it took me 5 months to sell it)

15k starters if girl is bundled package, otherwise start at $14,999

She pretty (car of course)
well the miss in the pass seat also.
seriously i think you should be able to get 12-13k. Its clean and mileage is low so i don't think that is a bad place to start.
to ZOOPS as well! Kentucky scene woot!!

Honestly, with any used cars these days it is only worth what someone will pay for it. That sounds relaly negative, but that's not my intention.
To make matters more complicated, you are a selling a real clean 98 ITR that I had the pleasure of viewing at the last meet up in Nashville. I highly encourage you to take your time, and be patient. If you know what she's worth, stick around and wait for the right buyer to find you/your car.
Either way, we need to get together and get some shots of the remaining TN ITR owners. They seem to be dropping like flies. You'l be the 4th owner in the past year to sell in the middle TN area. (*That I know)

I'm casually looking for one in this area as well.. it's in great condition, but maybe a bit too great for me. I basically want to get rid of my mint Si for an average R that I feel more comfortable autocrossing/tracking. If I autocross the Si another year I think its' resale value will pretty much be done for

I feel you man. I never autocrossed this car nor street raced ever. The car is my baby and treated too good sometimes. I have owned plenty of EM1 civics and they hold there value GREAT!

I agree with the others. This car should sell in the $14-15K range, maybe even slightly over $15K if it's truly as nice as you claim. If you're not in a huge hurry and can take your time, I might start with an asking price of $15,999 to leave yourself room to haggle downward. Remember, you can always lower your price later if you don't get decent offers. And ignore lowballers who try to buy the car for less than it's really worth by giving you all kinds of phony reasons why your car is worth less than what you're asking. Speaking of which...

Book values (on websites like KBB, Edmunds, and NADA) are notorious for being substantially lower than market value for low-production cars like the ITR. Find me a dozen ITRs like this for a little more than $10K and I'll buy all twelve of them. (Then I'll turn around and sell them quick for $14K each and make a tidy profit).
