want your opinon!
i bought my gsr with 148k miles 3 years ago. it now has 168k and is due for a oil change...
ive been usein castrol 10w-30 syntec. ive always had a problem with alittle oil getting burnt but this last 1kmiles ive burnt up alot more than normal.
will i have any drawbacks by going back to con oil? or should i stick with the syntec?

If your engine is consuming oil, you might actually benefit from switching to conventional. Try not to veer too far from OEM Spec Viscosity, unless the consumption does not improve. It will cause your engine to feel more sluggish than usual.
i have the same problem, but i switched to a full synthetic (mobil 1)
and i saw a big change in the amount of oil i was having to put in my car...
thats just me...
also my problem is i have bad piston rings (i think)
