Oil Change Display Question
I just changed the oil in my Civic; the Helms manual shows how to reset the "Oil Life" display BUT the manual also says to note what else may be displayed that may require service.. When resetting the display I got a "B1" code. The Helms manual shows A and B type service items but no number... Anybody have any idea what "B1" means?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Its basically a Oil change, tire rotation and saftey check:
B1:
Oil / filter change
service/adjust rear & front brakes
rotate tires, inspect for wear and proper PSI
inspect parking brake/adjust
inspect tie rod ends, steering box and boots
inspect suspension components
inspect driveshaft boots
inspect brake hoses / lines
check all fluid levels/conditions
check for leaks
inspect exhaust system
inspect fuel lines/connections

Correct me if wrong. Looks a lot like what they do on the 15,000mi service? As your miles progress do the codes change? Say like when I hit 30,000mi will it provide a different code?

Yes, basically a 15k/45k/75k service
30k service TYPICALLY(depends on dealership) includes much of the same + replacement of air cleaner, brake flush, coolant flush, trans fluid, valve adjust, hepa, etc
There will be a different maint. code when a 30k service is required.
