Default Hasport EFB2 Hydro kit in RHD CRX clutch cable problem

Hiya,

I've got a RHD D series CRX. I'm in the UK.

I'm fitting a B20 using the Hasport EFB2 Hydro mount kit, B20VTEC and S80 gearbox.

The mount kit fits in fine, a little tight, but the problem is the clutch cable just isn't long enough.
I've tried a B16 one (we got them here) and the D15 one (it's a JDM 1.5 crx) and both are too short, the D15 one is longer but still needs another inch.

I guess Hasport didn't think about the RHD guys. Shouldn't have expected it, but tbh we didn't think about it either.

So, anyone know what Honda I might be able to get a longer clutch cable from ?
I'll say it again. THIS CAR IS A RHD CHASSIS.

I can't drive my car, which is really annoying.
Thanks for looking. I'm off to hunt some breakers yards with a tape measure.

DA Clutch cable may be longer due to the differences in the chassis.

Thanks.
I wish HT let you search for 2 character words. So many related things are only two letters.

Guess what Honda the UK never got ? Yep, DA Integra.
It's grey JDM import only, but I'm looking for one.

I spotted that Hasport seem to have reccommened it for the LHD customers but many don't seem to bother.

I'll cross my fingers.
Thanks.

Did the mainland ever get the DA? I always thought I'd see those running around the EDM Civic's, guess not.

I has the same problem. rhd crx with that mount kit. What i had to do is buy a LHD clutch cable for a crx and route it from the firewall, under the backside of the tranny mount then up and straight down to where it connects on the hasport kit. I know it's kinda ghetto, but that's the only way i was able to do it. It does work. I tried finding someone to make a custom clutch cable but no one around here does. What i was planning on doing was modifying it to true hydrolic with fluid.

Well, after much searching and look ing at Rover's as well (Honda and Rover had a partnership back in the 80s/90s) I'm probably going the LHD route myself too.

Anyone want to sell me a LHD cable ?

i remember doing a b swap in my 90 civic (USDM) and the clutch cable seemed 1.5" too short even on a cable clutch tranny. what I ended up having to do was remove the clutch release arm from the transmission, slide the cable in, then re-mount the arm to the tranny.

have you tried that here yet?
