help with FREE 75K and 150K 95-97 Accord services Honda put up a TSB about
About a year ago I received a letter from Honda stating that my Accord would receive complementary 75K and 150K miles services. As it showed my VIN had not had the services performed. I know this affected 95-97 Accord V6's non vtec. And some Acura Legends.
Moreover, I have lost the letter. I saw a link to this on HondaPilot.org and can now longer find the link now. I want to take advantage of this as my 1995 has almost 90K miles on it and I last did a plugs, wires, cap, rotor, etc around 50K miles.
Should I just go into Honda and request the service? They should know what I am referring too correct? Otherwise does anyone have the link to the PDF file so I can have a copy of this bulletin and jump all over this.
Thanks a lot,
Tony

You dont need to provide the letter in order to get the service performed. When you get to the dealer have them run a VIN status for you. Any open recall or warranty extensions will be listed on that document.
BTW it doesnt cover the older Acura Legend. This has to do with obd2 emissions and how the EPA says that certain Honda vehicles werent sensative enough to detect misfire problems etc. Its typical B.S imho. Although its good for the customer though. hth

yea i have a 1995 Accord V6 2.7L non vtec car too... and i have a check engine light on for purge flow solenoid.. so i dont know if they will do that for me.. it has 146,000 miles on the car... but i should check into it too

Just go to the dealer and ask them to do VIN inquiry on your vehicle. It should show that you have the Emissions Extension Warranty. This is pretty much your free ride for a check engine light. Whatever turns that stupid light on will pretty much be fixed free of charge..
There is a catch on some things though.. I had an Accord with a leaking oil pressure sending unit which caused the O2 sensor to go out.. We covered it that one time only, but the customer had to pay for a new sending unit.

like the reason i ask is because my Evap Purge Flow solenoid is bad.. so i was just wondering.. and for whatever reason my car wont go into closed loop.. it stays in open loop no matter how long i run my car..
