actaully, i was the person who had the big issue with avid mounts failing.
however, i had ek mounts and have since received theyre new design. its worked perfect so far and the fitment was excellent.
as far as customer service goes, Franklin hooked me up, bought me a d series bracket for the new mount since it uses the stock d series tranny bracket AND 2nd day aired me the mount, hardware and bracket from canada.
most of you who have posted in this thread need to jump off the bandwaggon and do some research.

I got a set of each and put them side-by-side. Here's what I found:
The Bracket for the Avid mounts is way bigger than the mount. You'd have to tighten the bolt until you crush the bracket to get it to fit on the mount, which would make the mount placement random, unless maybe Avid engineered how the bracket crushes?
The holes through the Avid mounts were way smaller than the holes that go through the brackets, so you had to use a bolt that was way smaller. Again, mount placement is random and prone to shifting. You could machine some collars and fix this, but that shouldn't be necessary in a new set of mounts.
Avid's "Billet Aluminum" mounts were made from different chunks that were held together with bolts. A "Billet" mount should be made from a single piece of metal, that's the definition of billet.
The Hasport mounts were perfect in every way, so I used them in my car, no problems so far.
P.S. - I got the Hasport's from the NoLimit Hasport sale thread, cost about $100 more than the Avid's.

Funny **** I have them in my EG b-series and EP3 turbo (daily), I have no fitment issues. I heard they had a problem with the EK one's but my buddy got there new design and he saids there amazing. The guy above saids he's got the new one's too.
I was looking at the EK ones, and it was a while ago. Maybe Avid got better, but the ones that I compared to the Hasport's were pretty crappy. I know someone else who used the Avid EK mounts around the same time and he said fitment sucked on his car.
one of my friends had them in his EG for a F/H series and he had fitment issues and they actually broke. I have had no prbolem with my innovative in my EK though I say AVID
and INNOVATIVE/HASPORT

It's not the same thing though.
Do me a favor and point out some topics where people have had fitment issues with HAsports mounts on a car that hasn't been tweaked in a wreck.

I use to have hasport mounts too. Urethane blew out and I ended up selling my EF. Hasports are are good there is no question about that. But I have the Avid's now in both my cars and I have a lot of my boys that use them to.
I got Avids in my EG, it's true that they absord very little but that's what i need for my setup. As far as placement/fit issues go i had no problems. Mounts and hardware were provided in my kit and everything bolted up perfectly.
alot of you are just going by he said she said i read bullshit.
the ONLY problem ive heard about avid mounts what for an ek. i had it myself, but they have now changed the design and it works flawlessly.
