mod to header cost vs replacement
The header I installed does not have a hanger for the downpipe.
would it be cheaper to have custom welding and risk them damaging the pipe
or would it be better to spen the bucks and get a new header?

A hanger on a header? The only thing holding my header to my engine is the bolts on the head.

^ I'm w/ him. My OEM manifold bolted to the back of my block w/ some flimsy bracket-doo-thingy, but my Megan header didnt have one. No probs as of diving on it for about a year. Most peple dont run them. Ive heard may o' story of them vibrating and flexing and snapping off and taking the pipng w/ it causing an obvious exhaust leak.
