Default 96 gsr idle problem

ok its a 95 gsr motor in a 96 gsr ok i had to butt connect all ecu plugs cuz they were cut. so now the car rides great no check engine but say i take off at a lite and when i come to a stop the car stays idling high then it drops to about 1100 and it doesnt drop and rev up. ok im thinking from the ecu plugs there were a couple of wires that were excetly the same so im wondering maybe one of the wires r for the tps sensor maybe and it reads wrong. or wut do ya think could be my problem. also theres no tention on the throttle cable. thanks in advanced for any help.

Have you set the base idle for the car on the TB with the IACV disconnected? Have you cleaned the IACV?

Try setting the base without the IACV hooked up. That will tell you alot right there.

Where did you get "i vac" and "throttle cable" from? IACV = idle air control valve. What is "i vac"? Throttle cable? No, there is an idle adjustment screw on the throttle body (wait....dont go touching it just yet). Do just what dogginator said and unplug the IACV first because you cant adjust the idle with the IACV still plugged in.

ok so disconnect iacv, were is the screw is it the one located near were the throttle cable gets hooked up. ok i was messing around early and some one told me to check for vacm leak, i hear a hissing sound from the brake booster i unpluged the iacv and it ideas low maybe like 200 300 and when i remove the hose that goes from the booster to intake mani it idles high. i got it to idle normal by removeing that hose and covering the hole wit my finger and it idles perfect but of course my brake pedal is hard as hell.

If you unplug the IACV, the car should idle around 500rpms (just about to stall out). If that happens, then it is NOT a vacuum leak. If its a vacuum leak, then when you unplug the IACV it will idle high just like when you have the break booster hose unhooked and open. However, if it idles fine with the BB (brake booster) unplugged and covered with your finger, then its an internal leak in the booster and you need to replace it.
