Default ****. This clutch chatter?

I have a toda flywheel, ACT HDSS disc/plate setup. About 1200 miles on the new setup . I was backin in my car, and as i released the clutch just now, it like shuttered. So, After i backed up. I put the car in first, then slowly releaseed the clutch, not all the way tho. i just wanted to see if i heard anything, and it like shuttered. I am affraid something is wrong, or is this normal? if i drive nomarlly , i press the gas a lil on my take off, and all is well....just once in a while i get that funny noise. What could be wrong?

does the clutch have springs in it or is it a 6-puck. if it is a 6-puck then dont worry
about it .-by the way; the act 6-pucks are tranny killers.

Is it a sprung or unsprung hub on the clutch? Unsprung will almost always cause chatter.

use the gas pedal a little more
that'll make the chatter worse.

for you people that aren't familiar with clutch chatter, it feels like violent wheel hop. essentially it's the clutch grabbing, letting go, grabbing...

it can happen to our stock clutches if they become burned or glazed.

improper break in, or excessive heat. Basically the same as how brakes get glazed.

alright, I found out that alot more can cause clutch chatter...check this out, from http://www.advancedclutch.com
20. What could cause clutch chatter?

Chatter is when the car shudders as the clutch is being engaged. Possible cause may be as follows:

Flywheel has excessive run-out.
Flywheel was not resurfaced or improperly resurfaced before the new clutch was installed.
Damaged or excessively worn CV joints.
Bad U-Joints in drive shaft or U-Joints misaligned.
Excessive backlash in differential.
Excessive driveline angle.
Bad leaf springs, bushings or mounts.
The use of an aggressive clutch disc designed for racing.
Defective pressure plate and/or disc.
Disc has inadequate Marcel (Not enough cushion between the friction facing.).
Oil or grease contamination on clutch facings.
Worn or damaged clutch linkage.
Bent pressure plate assembly and/or disc.
Improperly tuned engine.
Worn or damaged engine mounts or transmission mounts.

so ya, my car goes to acura tomorrow. and I'm bringing this list to them
I have a toda flywheel, and ACT HDSS setup. chatters at 1300 miles. Ill let you all know how it goes
