Default 96-00 Civic trunks interchangeability

I know the taillights are different, but could just the *trunk* of a 6th gen Civic coupe fit onto a 6th gen Civic sedan (or visa versa)? I know about the taillights and I don't care. I don't want to actually do this, I just want to know if it's possible.

If they don't fit, why don't they? Too long, too tall, mounting, etc.

I've searched a lot and found little info on if this. Thanks for any help, even if it's a link or a pic.

Actually I'm going through this right now so that I can get rid of an overly large wing that is bolted to my coupe right now. A 4 door's trunklid cannot go on a coupes. The bottom where the latch is, that's the same size, where it differs is the line along the bottom of the rear window. There's a several inch difference between the coupe and the 4 door.

None of them. Like I said, I just want to know.

Thanks for the clear answer. I'm betting the coupe is a little shorter front to back on the trunk then?

if I didn't get answers I was going to measure my neighbors' trunk once they get home.
