lowering my EK
what would be the best route to go about lowering my 97 civic coupe? Im not wanting to spend a butt-load of money. so, something cheap, yet cost effective. It will have purpose, not just for looks, if that helps any. thanks
It depends on your situation. If you plan to use it for cruising with little to no fun, I would suggest in lowering springs and some struts. However, if you want height adjustability, there are sleeved coilovers (with appropriate struts) that will suit your needs. Price varies on sleeved coilovers depending on brand. Now, if you are talking about full coilovers, they are slightly pricier, but some offer more adjustability.
People are going to recommend Ground Control (with custom spring rates to suit your needs) coilovers with Koni yellow struts.

A cheaper alternative to Koni yellows are KYB AGX struts, which work perfectly fine on a low drop. However, I also recommend Ground Control adjustable height springs
