Can someone post or link a picture of the backside of a B16A assembled? I took mine apart to clean and I can't find the spot for a "r" shaped bracket with two threaded studs at the end. Thanks for any help provided

Sounds like that is the bracket that attaches to the lower part of the exhaust manifold.

 

no it goes on the back side of the block on the right side of the oil filter if you're facing the back of the block.. it doesn't line up with the holes properly though.. i'm confused

 

Yes, it does. I know which bracket you are talking about. Couple of inches long, looks like a r like you said, two holes on one end, and two studs on the other. The top to holes go to the block, then the bracket slides behind the intermediate shaft, and the block, then the two studs go to a small bracket on the exhaust.

Its usually the first worthless bracket pulled off and trashed when a decent header is installed.
