all well and good, but whats the price tag on an M3?

edit: hmm Price tag of a greddy turbo civic ~$27,000
Price tag of stock M3 $48,000

Financial space there to make a civic Si god, $21,000.

Thats talk of a ricer.

Do you not understand what else the M3 has to offer? The safety features, a hell of a lot luxerious, and the best is you arent in a honda.

Comments like that make honda owners look stupid

HEY lets get a 500 crx strip it and build it with everything possible and im still 20k cheaper omfg

sounds like someone is but hurt.

Consumer Reports' Top Picks 2006
Category Winner Overall
MPG CR Notes
Small Sedan
Less than $20,000 Honda Civic EX 28 Roomy interior, comfortable ride, good handling and fuel economy. Curtain air bags are standard and crash-test results are impressive.
Family Sedan
$20,000 - $30,000 Honda Accord EX (4-cyl.) 24 Excellent balance of comfort, roominess and handling. The hybrid delivers quicker acceleration and moderately better gas mileage of 25 mpg overall.
Upscale Sedan
$30,000 - $40,000 Acura TL 23 Among the highest-scoring sedans. Provides a near-ideal blend of comfort, convenience, and sportiness — at a reasonable $33.700.
Luxury Sedan Infiniti M35 18 As capable as threading a twisty road as it is cruising on the highway.
Small SUV
Less than $30,000 Subaru Forrester 21 A good value at about $23,000 for the 2.5X. The Honda CR-V ($24,000) is a runner-up, with more room and standard electronic stability control.
Midsized SUV
More than $30,000 Toyota Highlander Hybrid 22 Delivers quick acceleration, a comfortable ride and third-row seat. Impressive 22 mpg for a midsized SUV.
Minivan Honda Odyssey 19 Electronic stability control and curtain air bags are standard. The interior is well-crafted and comfortable. The Toyota Sienna, another high scorer, is quieter and rides more comfortably, but is less agile.
Green Car Toyota Prius 44 CR's pick for the third year. Certified by the California Air Resources Board as a near-zero-emission vehicle.
Fun to Drive Subaru Impreza WRX/STi 22 At $25,000 and $33,000, the Impreza WRX and its high-performance STi variant prove that consumers don't have to spend a lot of money to get a fun-to-drive sports car.
Pickup Truck Honda Ridgeline 15 Redefines the pickup, combining the comfortable ride and agile handling of a car-based chassis with a good payload capacity.

The SI isnt even on there. I am still laughing that you think the civic si with a turbo is better than an m3 lmao. Have you ever been in one or driven one? I have so unless you have don't speak. I could see "IF" you ever suceeded in the world and were a succesful business man you would pull up in your brand spanking new civic si, and when the m3 drivers go nice car, and laugh at you, you will respond with, yeah, well, if I put a turbo on my car I still spent less than you. They will still be laughing. Does the civic have nice plush leather seats or heated seats? Does it have "sport mode"? I bet if the same person was in a bmw and a civic si and was hit by an suv blowing a red light, the person in the bmw will suffer less injuries than the person in the civic. If you really want to argue and I get extreamly bored with sunday night tv I will look up each car and put FACTS in here.

I never said I don't like Honda's, but I am well off my high horse and know they are an economic and reliable way of getting around. When I am finished with college and have a full time job, I sure as hell will not be driving my honda lol. It will be LONG gone.

I used business man as an example. But since you are in the army I can use a recruitment officer as the same. So when you go to schools to try to recruit kids and you pull up in a civic si, but tell them how the pay is wonderful and the benefits are great they wont think much, but if you pull up in a new BMW M3 I bet they will believe it a little more. If you did not think that then you should not have put your nose where it doesn't belong. I did not quote you did I? No. I never said anything about the car of the year of a stupid magazine. If someone basis their purchases completely off of a magazine they have an issue.

just clarifying something: are you saying that if he was in a Honda people wouldn't take him seriously, but if he was in a BMW they would? [not trying to argue, just wanting clarification of your comment]

Pretty much.
Its the truth with any Honda. Everyone labels each person when they pull up in a car. You may be a Honda enthusiast the civic si as some amazing car but like many other people and myself I see it as a civic.
Lets try this here
what is the first car you think of when you hear these words
-economy-Honda civic
-luxury- Audi, BMW, Mercedes
-Performance- Ford mustang, Pontiac GTO

You know what's funny is, there aren't as many M3's sold as there are BMW's with M3 badges. BMW dealers are notorious for rebadging non-M3's as M3's and there are quite a few consumers who walk into the dealership just to purchase a BMW because it's a BMW.

So it really wouldn't matter if you purchased a BMW or not. Because if just one of those kids can tell you're not driving an M3, but you have an M3 badge, they're all going to call you a dumbass for paying an extra $10-20K for an emblem that's as hollow as a Spoon sticker on a Miata. *shrug*

Honestly, who gives a ****. The M3 in the video wasn't losing the Si and the Si wasn't losing the M3. It only serves to prove either one or both were shitty drivers, or an Si + turbo = stock M3. It's one example. Not enough to even warrant that as being considered a fact.

Atrocious grammar, spelling and butchering of the English language aside, comments like the following make people like yourself look like douches:

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Ep_Kevin &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">I could see "IF" you ever suceeded in the world and were a succesful business man you would pull up in your brand spanking new civic si, and when the m3 drivers go nice car, and laugh at you, you will respond with, yeah, well, if I put a turbo on my car I still spent less than you. This is the stupidest **** I've ever heard. A couple of the folks in Acura's boardroom drive Comptech-boosted TSX's and TL-S'. The RL and MDX are more expensive but that doesn't mean they're right for each individual. People who only talk about how much money they spent on a car either a) need to get laid, or b) need to get a clue because nobody gives a ****. And unless you're one of the top 10 wealthiest people in America, out-of-pocket purchasing is the dumbest concept ever to be fed by poor self-esteem and a small *****-size....

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Ep_Kevin &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">"The safety features, a hell of a lot luxerious, and the best is you arent in a honda," make people like yourself look stupid.</TD></TR></TABLE>

That's fantastic you drive a BMW, but my Honda has been proven to match your BMW in actual safety (just because it has 80 airbags doesn't make it more safe). And while it isn't as luxurious as you call it, you're right, it's just a Honda; a manufacturer with a higher reliability history than your foilable BMW, according to multiple consumer reports articles. So you can keep your business man/recruitment officer analogies, homeslice. Seeing as how I'm looking to get married, start a family and build (and probably flip) real estate soon, my boosted, less-expensive Honda suits me just fine. That's what it's about right? What suits the individual? Of course it is.....

Comparing apples and oranges here people.

Civic SI - Sport Econobox.
M3 - COMPLETLEY different level of performance.

I dont see much point in arguing as its not going to get very far, but its undeniable that the Civic(with a much lower price tag mind you) did pretty well against that Bimmer. Yes the M3 is superior , I'd sure as expletive be driving one if I had the cash, but all things considered the Si is a stand-up car that deserves respect just as the E46 does.

Wow this guy is either IN high school or is one of the guys that feels like they need to be making a million dollars to look impressive at his high school reunion. Either way, it's people like you who make a lot of rich ****** buy M3s in the first place -- they think they gain some sort of "respect" with fellow shallow people I guess.

Hey, my brain is telling me that a more reliable car at less than half the price is worth it for me...to hell with anyone who thinks their car is better. I like what I've got.
