Installing Nitrous???
I just bought a nitrous express kit but didnt get it yet and I was wondering what to expect when it comes time to install it on my 94 LS. Can I install it myself or should I get a shop to do it for me??? (how much of a pain in the *** is it).
And one more thing after I install it, when it comes time to get my car inspected will the nitrous interfere???

big difference between installing it and tuning it. a 5 year old could do most of the install, it's the jets and spark plug and timing you will have to play with... as well as fuel pressure if you run a bigger shot than about 55. I've found it's best to get the nozzle welded to your intake tubing just to be safe. The threads will get it in there snug, but not snug enough to be safe and long-term.

You have NX so it is a wet kit. You want the the nozzle less than about 8" from the throttle body and so it has a straight shot in for the fuel. It's not difficult to install a nitrous kit at all. NX says you can run stock ignition timing with their kits due to the way the nozzle atomizes the mixture. You'll need one step colder NGK copper plugs, gapped to .030". It's a good idea to bump up your fuel pressure a few psi, just to be on the safe side. Make a pass, and check your plugs to see how it is running.

Must have a death wish putting a 80 shot to a 8.5 lb flywheel. I'd hate to see it burst from that stress. Most juiced engines won't run a flywheel that light. Make sure your buddy gets a scattershield if he doens't have one already... i'd hate to the person in the passenger seat when that flywheel shatters and comes through the fire-wall.

Wow, it can come through the fire-wall?

yeah... if a flywheel shatters they shred through the tranny casing and pieces fly everywhere.... including to the firewall and through it. Think about how many thousand of RPM's that flywheel is spinning at and how much momentum the pieces would have. Not safe... that's why scattershields are required for many race classes.
